Video materials have been used extensively within the BroadLEARN™ IELTS test preparation course to provide students with detailed understanding of the IELTS Speaking test format.

In the Speaking Module, the video materials:

* let learners see and feel what it is like to take the speaking test
* give learners a detailed understanding of each stage of the speaking test
* highlight key aspects of how the speaking test is assessed
* show real-life examples of examiners' questions and candidates' answers
* allow learners to practice their test-taking techniques and language skills in interactive exercises with a video examiner
* enable learners to compare their answers with the video models provided
* give learners the opportunity to observe important non-verbal features of communication such as body language and eye contact
* provide a visual reinforcement of the information provided to the learner
* feature a wide variety of accents amongst examiners and candidates
